IDX is proud to receive the NABShow Product of the Year 2025 Award!
IDX’s USB-C PD-equipped product lineup (batteries and chargers) won the Camera Support, Control and Accessories category at the NAB SHOW 2025. IDX was recognised for being one of the first in the industry to support USB-C PD in 2021, equipping its batteries and chargers with the technology, and for significantly expanding its lineup with the new product UC-PD6 (scheduled for release) announced at NAB.
USB-C PD was initially introduced into the DUO range of batteries with the DUO-CP models. Popular with users and understanding the importance and versatility of this connector, IDX expanded the inclusion across the range allowing users to charge a wide variety of batteries with just one charger type.
Additionally these USB-C PD sockets can also be used as an output to power a myriad of different accessories. With a wide voltage range (5V to 20V), this allows users to power their equipment direct from one battery instead of having several power solutions attached to the rig for each individual piece of equipment. Saves weight, time and cost!
Users can now charge IDX DUO-CP, Imicro-PD, SBU/PD, 28V BMount and the latest
SL-F/PD all with the same USB-C PD charger.
However a small, lightweight, portable charging solution does not mean you need to sacrifice on charging speed. The current UC-PD3 is capable of charging two batteries at simultaneously at 45W each!
This charging technology is being developed further with two new models coming out soon.
The UC-PD1S, a single channel charger designed for portability and fast charging speeds. Brilliant for those that need to travel light but don’t want to sacrifice on performance.
The UC-PD6, a 6ch simultaneous charger with a 440W output. Designed as an alternative to a bulky V-Lock charger but capable of charging 6 batteries at the same time. Featuring an OLED screen to display the charge rate and time giving users and accurate readout to determine charging status.
