IDX ensures all the cells installed into each unit are of the
highest quality and are suitable. In addition, each unit
goes through rigorous quality assurance and are cleared
for UKCA and CE regulations.
A semi-solid battery is one in which some or all of the electrolyte inside is solid. The semi-solid battery that IDX has adopted this time is called a “liquid-added (impregnated) semi-solid battery,” and uses a composite electrolyte in which a small amount of liquid electrolyte is impregnated into a solid electrolyte.
This achieves both high safety and ionic conductivity. In addition, the impedance inside a semi-solid battery is 1/10 of that of conventional batteries, and the internal ions can move between spaces with fewer barriers (impedance), so no extra energy is needed, and the amount of heat generated is significantly reduced.
Furthermore, the inverter used inside the product uses GaN semiconductors. Compared to silicon semiconductors, it is more efficient and faster, and the power conversion efficiency is improved, which leads to smaller and lighter products.
